About us

Your IT department, a few miles down the road.

Nare IT Solutions is a locally owned technology company in Montrose, Colorado. We look after the computers, networks, and servers that Western Slope businesses depend on — and we answer the phone when they don't behave.

Our story

Built around how small businesses actually work.

Nare IT Solutions started with a simple observation: the businesses that keep a town running rarely get technology help that fits them. They're either paying for an enterprise contract full of things they'll never use, or calling whoever is available and hoping for the best.

We built something in between. Real monitoring and maintenance on the systems that matter, straightforward as-needed work for everything else, and a person who knows your network by name.

Today we support offices, shops, schools, contractors, and plenty of households across Montrose and the surrounding valleys — the same places we live, shop, and send our kids to school.

How we work

Four things we won't compromise on.

These aren't slogans — they're the rules we actually run the business by, and you're welcome to hold us to them.

We explain things in plain English

You shouldn't need a translator to understand your own systems. We'll tell you what broke, why it broke, and what your options are — without acronyms, and without making you feel behind for asking.

We answer, and we show up

Calls get returned the same day. Most issues are solved remotely within minutes. When it needs hands on the hardware, we schedule it fast — and when it's an emergency, we treat it like one.

We quote before we start

Projects get a written quote. Ongoing work gets itemized time you can read line by line. If a job is going to run past what we estimated, you'll hear it from us before the invoice does.

We recommend what you need

We're not here to sell you hardware you don't need or a subscription that doesn't fit. Sometimes the honest answer is "leave it alone another year" — and we'd rather say that and keep the relationship.

Local, actually

We're part of the same community you are.

"Local" gets used loosely these days. For us it means the phone number is a 970 number, the person who answers it lives here, and if your server needs hands on it this afternoon, that's a drive — not a dispatch request.

It also means we understand what work looks like out here: shops with equipment older than the software running it, offices spread across two buildings, job sites with barely enough signal to send a photo. We plan around the real conditions, not a diagram from a manufacturer's brochure.

Common questions

More about who we are.

Is Nare IT Solutions actually local?

Yes — locally owned and based in Montrose, Colorado. The phone is answered locally, and the person who drives out to your office is the same one who helps you remotely.

How are you different from a national provider?

You talk to the technician who fixes the problem, not a call center reading from a script. We document every client environment, so support starts with context instead of twenty questions.

Will you explain things without the jargon?

That's the whole point. We'll tell you what broke, why, and what your options are in language you can act on — and we won't make you feel behind for asking.

Will you push us to replace equipment?

No. If what you have has good years left, that's what we'll tell you. Projects are quoted in writing first, and we'd rather keep a client than sell one unnecessary server.

Let's talk about your setup.

No pressure and no sales pitch — just a conversation about what you have, what's frustrating you, and whether we can help.
